A four-year-old girl in Sharjah was found alone on a school bus after the staff forgot to drop her off. The incident unfolded when the girl, who had fallen asleep during the ride, was discovered crying by the bus conductor during the bus's second trip for boys. She had been on the bus from 6 to 8:40 am and later fell ill, prompting her parents to take her to the hospital for a check-up.

Fortunately, the girl emerged unharmed from the ordeal. However, her mother is now urging other parents to remain vigilant and regularly communicate with bus drivers and conductors regarding their child's safety.

"At 7:30 am, the conductor called to inform me that my child had fallen asleep and was left behind on the bus, unable to reach the classroom. I instructed him to immediately take her home, but he failed to do so. It wasn't until I contacted her teacher that I learned about the incident. We hurried to the school by 8:15 am, only to find that my daughter hadn't arrived at the classroom or the school premises yet," recounted the girl's mother regarding the incident.

"My daughter mentioned that her head had hit against the front seat. When she woke up, she found herself surrounded by older students, boys, and seniors of the second trip. It wasn't until she began crying that the conductor realized she had been left behind and then contacted me," she added.

Subsequently, the girl's parents withdrew her from the school and lodged a complaint with the local authorities, expressing dissatisfaction with the staff's response, which they felt downplayed the severity of the incident.

"I can't bring myself to send her back to school until she's a bit older and able to take care of herself. I myself attended the same school, but I never imagined my daughter would be treated this way. Our trust has been shattered. We are fortunate that our child is safe and sound; I hope no other parent and child have to endure such a dreadful ordeal," the mother expressed further.

Instances of negligence resulting in tragic outcomes, such as children suffocating or falling ill after being inadvertently left behind in school buses or private vehicles, have unfortunately occurred in the past.
