The Stream Ring looks like a simple piece of jewelry, but beneath its elegant surface lies a tiny voice-driven computer. Worn on the index finger, the ring activates with a thumb press, recording your speech and sending it via Bluetooth to the companion smartphone app. Unlike other devices, it doesn’t save your audio; it converts speech into text, accessible later through the app.

Sandbar markets the ring as “the mouse for voice,” aiming for interaction as intuitive as a whisper. Users can ask questions, create shopping lists, or brainstorm ideas without needing wake words or screen interactions. A subtle vibration confirms tasks, making the experience discreet yet interactive. Beyond AI features, the ring doubles as a media controller: tap to play or pause, double-tap to skip tracks, and swipe to adjust volume.

One standout feature is the AI’s ability to respond in your own voice. During setup, the app records a few lines to generate a voice model using ElevenLabs technology. Users report hearing a slightly altered, natural-sounding version of themselves responding — a touch designed to feel familiar yet distinguishable.

Privacy remains central. Stream only records when the user chooses, ensuring no ambient audio capture. The ring also avoids health tracking, focusing entirely on cognitive tasks, notes, and reminders. Battery life lasts a full day of active use, supported by a compact charging dock. A desktop interface complements the mobile app for easier note management and sharing.

The Stream Ring is designed for those who want to capture their thoughts, plan their day, or brainstorm ideas efficiently. Sandbar describes it as a “self-extension” rather than a traditional assistant — a tool for thought management rather than constant monitoring.

Available for preorder in the U.S., the Stream Ring starts at $249 for silver and $299 for gold. Preorders include a sizing kit and a three-month trial of Stream Pro, offering unlimited interactions. After the trial, users can continue on a $10 monthly subscription or a limited free plan. Shipping is expected to begin in summer 2026, potentially introducing a new era of intimate, voice-driven AI wearables.
