A large rally unfolded outside Number 10 Downing Street in London as supporters of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and members of the Iranian diaspora gathered to show solidarity with ongoing nationwide protests in Iran. The event also marked 40 days since the deadly crackdown on demonstrators during the current uprising.
Participants urged the UK government to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization, close the Iranian regime’s embassy, and expel its diplomats. Many protesters also called for official recognition of the Iranian people’s right to resist and establish a democratic republic.
The demonstration underscores sustained international backing for Iran’s pro‑freedom movement and growing global pressure on the Iranian regime for accountability and democratic reform amid the largest wave of protests in years.
