Footage circulating online shows thick smoke and flames near Dubai International Airport (DXB) after a drone reportedly struck a fuel tank facility, sparking a fire close to the airport complex. UAE authorities said Dubai Civil Defence responded swiftly and brought the blaze under control, with no injuries reported.
As a precaution, flight operations were temporarily suspended, and several flights were diverted to Al Maktoum International Airport, causing travel disruptions across the region. The incident comes amid heightened Middle East tensions and a series of drone and missile threats targeting key Gulf infrastructure.
