The Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were formally signed by His Excellency Dr. Khalifa Mubarak Al Dhaheri, Chancellor of MBZUH, alongside Professor Muhammad Zawawi bin Zain Al-Abidin, President of UnIPSAS, and Dr. Yusri bin Zain Al-Din, President of UMPAS. These agreements are designed to facilitate the exchange of scientific and academic expertise, allowing the Malaysian institutions to leverage MBZUH’s extensive experience in developing Islamic and social studies.
The scope of the MoUs encompasses several areas aimed at fostering future cooperation, including the coordination of joint academic activities between faculty members from both institutions. These activities will focus on education, teaching, research, and scientific studies. The partnership plans to implement a faculty exchange program and a similar initiative for students, promoting an immersive academic experience for all parties involved.
Under the terms of the agreement, the institutions will collaborate on sharing academic materials, publications, and scientific documents. They will also organize joint activities, such as training courses, seminars, scientific conferences, and research projects. Additionally, the agreement facilitates the exchange of PhD students and provides opportunities for the supervision of scientific theses in joint graduate programs.
His Excellency Dr. Khalifa Mubarak Al Dhaheri emphasized the significance of these MoUs in fulfilling the university’s vision and strategy to strengthen academic and cultural relations with other organizations. He noted that these partnerships would enhance communication and overall ties while supporting shared values such as diversity, pluralism, moderation, acceptance, respect for identity, tolerance, peace, and openness to different cultures and communities around the world.
Highlighting MBZUH’s extensive network with academic institutions both regionally and internationally, His Excellency stated that the university seeks to collaborate with organizations that share its mission of achieving common goals and serving humanity. He reaffirmed MBZUH's commitment to establishing new partnerships to enhance its reputation as a distinguished academic center in humanities, social sciences, and philosophical studies, all while promoting Islam and Arab culture globally through the virtues of tolerance, love, and respect for human rights.
Looking ahead, His Excellency expressed optimism about the future of strategic cooperation with Malaysian academic institutions, reiterating that MBZUH will make every effort to implement the terms of the two memorandums of understanding effectively.
