Bengaluru-based electric motorcycle maker Ultraviolette Automotive on September 23 launched its new X47 Crossover electric bike, priced at Rs 2.74 lakh (ex-showroom). An introductory offer of Rs 2.49 lakh is available for the first 1,000 bookings.
The X47 delivers a top speed of 145 kmph, a range of 323 km, 40 HP of power, and 610 Nm of torque. It also features an integrated onboard charger and comes with an industry-first 800,000 km warranty, underscoring the company’s commitment to durability and performance.
Founded in 2016 by Narayan Subramaniam (CEO) and Niraj Rajmohan (CTO), Ultraviolette is backed by TVS Motor Company and Qualcomm Ventures. The company has expanded from operating solely in Bengaluru to 30 cities across India and has entered international markets including Nepal and 10 European countries.

“At the X47, we are not just competitive but achieving price parity with mid-range motorcycles,” Subramaniam said at the launch. He added that the model is designed as a crossover suitable for both daily commuting and long rides.
Ultraviolette first entered the market with the F77 electric sports motorcycle, unveiled in 2019 and commercially launched in late 2022. In 2023, the company expanded its lineup with special editions and performance upgrades, establishing itself as a premium EV two-wheeler brand before broadening its reach with the X47 crossover.
The X47 is now available for bookings across Ultraviolette showrooms and online, marking a significant step in the brand’s strategy to reach mainstream EV motorcycle buyers in India and abroad.
