This revelation followed the news of his daughter-in-law, Kate, the Princess of Wales, undergoing abdominal surgery and anticipating a 14-day hospital stay. King Charles, aged 75, had several planned engagements this week, which have been postponed based on medical advice. The decision aims to allow for a short period of recuperation.
