Sheikh Mansoor Reviews DXB Operations for Peak Travel

Dubai, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Border Security Council, visited Dubai International Airport (DXB) to review operations and coordination among key government entities as the airport experiences record-breaking passenger numbers.

During the visit, Sheikh Mansoor emphasized that Dubai’s continued leadership in global aviation depends on maintaining fast, secure, and efficient border and customs operations. He highlighted that close coordination between Dubai Police, the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs, Dubai Customs, and the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority remains essential to sustaining the emirate’s world-class travel experience.

The inspection focused on ensuring readiness to handle the sharp rise in passenger volumes as DXB continues to grow as a major international hub. The first half of 2025 alone saw over 46 million passengers, a 2.3% increase compared to last year — making it the airport’s busiest-ever first half. January also marked a record month, welcoming 8.5 million travellers.

Sheikh Mansoor noted that the success of Dubai’s aviation sector reflects the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, whose strategic leadership has turned the city into a global symbol of innovation and excellence in air travel.
