On International Day of Charity, the UAE reaffirmed its commitment to global humanitarian efforts, spotlighting its extensive support for Gaza through Operation Chivalrous Knight 3. This initiative, launched to address the severe conditions in the Gaza Strip, exemplifies the UAE’s dedication to humanitarianism by providing continuous relief and medical aid through volunteer teams.

Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 has emerged as a cornerstone of the UAE’s relief efforts, achieving significant milestones in its mission. Since its inception, the operation has facilitated 104 aid convoys, delivering over 20,000 tonnes of critical humanitarian supplies. In addition, four ships have transported 18,530 tonnes of essential goods such as food, tents, clothing, and medicines to support displaced families in Gaza. Complementing these efforts, 259 airlifts have provided 5,340 tonnes of aid.

A notable aspect of the UAE’s support includes the “Birds of Goodness” initiative, which has executed 104 air drops of aid to regions that are otherwise inaccessible by land. This initiative has played a crucial role in meeting the needs of Palestinians in Gaza.

Moreover, the UAE has made significant contributions to medical support in Gaza. It has provided substantial quantities of essential medicines and medical equipment and allocated $5 million for a polio vaccination campaign, which has successfully immunized 650,000 children. The UAE is also enhancing hospital capabilities by supplying state-of-the-art medical equipment.

In addition to immediate relief efforts, the UAE is contributing to long-term support for Gaza’s infrastructure. This includes providing water and sanitation equipment, repairing water pipelines and wells in Khan Younis and northern Gaza, and organizing water distribution campaigns in shelters.

The UAE’s ongoing humanitarian efforts are a testament to its leadership in global charity work, with its foreign aid contributions surpassing Dhs360 billion. This demonstrates the UAE’s unwavering dedication to supporting countries in need and reinforcing its role as a global leader in charitable initiatives.
