UAE Archery Team Wins 7 Medals at West Asia Championship 2025

The UAE national archery team delivered a stellar performance at the 2nd West Asia Archery Championship 2025 in Qatar, securing seven medals, including three golds, two silvers, and two bronzes, and claiming second place overall in the final standings.

The UAE Archery Federation confirmed that the championship, held in Doha, showcased exceptional performances from both male and female athletes representing the nation with distinction.

The national team delegation returned to the UAE last night and received a warm welcome at Sharjah Airport from Humaid Sabet Al Shamsi, Vice President of the Federation, and Hind Al Hosani, Secretary-General.

In a remarkable display of teamwork and precision, the women’s compound team — Mitha Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Amina Yousef Al Awadhi, and Jumana Ali Al Najjar — clinched gold, while the men’s recurve team — Ali Yaqoub Rangeri, Mansour Saeed Al Ketbi, and Sib Sankar Maity — also struck gold in their category.

Adding to the tally, the mixed recurve team, represented by Samiya Odinaeva and Sib Sankar Maity, claimed another gold medal, underscoring UAE’s rising dominance in regional archery.

The mixed compound team of Mohammed Saleh bin Amro and Amina Yousef Al Awadhi won silver, while Amina also secured silver in the women’s individual compound event, marking her as one of the championship’s standout performers.

The men’s compound team — Mohammed Saleh bin Amro, Yousef Hassan Al Hosani, and Shihab Ahmed Al Saadi — contributed to the success with a bronze medal in the team category.

Hanadi Khalifa Al Kabouri, President of the UAE Archery Federation, praised the team’s achievement as a new milestone in the nation’s sporting journey. She highlighted the result as a reflection of the federation’s strategic vision to develop world-class athletes and enhance the UAE’s global standing in archery.

“This remarkable achievement reflects the continuous growth of our national teams and the dedication of our athletes to represent the UAE with pride and excellence,” she said.
