This new initiative highlights 50 promising Emirati startups that are working in areas important for the future. The launch took place in the presence of top government officials and business leaders.

The ‘UAE Future 50’ was created by the Government Development and the Future Office, working together with the Ministry of Economy. It is part of the Riyada entrepreneurship program, which is designed to help build a strong environment for new businesses and new ideas across the country.

  • Healthtech (health technology)

  • Edtech (education technology)

  • HR tech (human resources technology)

  • Food and agri-tech

  • Space

  • Cybersecurity

  • Sustainability

  • Renewable energy

  • Smart mobility

  • Advanced and creative industries

  • Legal tech

  • Sharing economy

These areas are important because they help diversify the UAE’s economy and make it stronger for the future.

Sheikh Hamdan's Support for Entrepreneurs

Sheikh Hamdan said that the UAE leadership is fully committed to supporting entrepreneurs and giving them a good environment to grow their businesses. He pointed out that Emirati innovators are helping the country move away from relying only on oil and are building a strong economy based on knowledge, creativity, and technology.

He also said that young entrepreneurs are turning ideas into real businesses that help the country grow. Sheikh Hamdan wants to inspire young people to become future business leaders and praised programs that help them achieve big dreams.

Government Officials at the Launch

Several high-level ministers joined Sheikh Hamdan at the event, including:

  • Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs

  • Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications

  • Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government Development and the Future

UAE’s Global Vision for the Future

Minister Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi spoke about how the UAE is one of the top countries in the world for preparing for the future. She said this is because the country has a strong innovation system and is investing in its people. She also mentioned that the ‘UAE Future 50’ startups are a big part of the government’s goal to be ready for future challenges.

Abdullah Al Saleh, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Economy, also talked about the importance of these new companies. He said that Emirati talent and innovative businesses are key to helping the UAE move toward high-tech and advanced industries, while improving its position globally.

Supporting and Celebrating Startups

The main goal of the ‘UAE Future 50’ is to give special support to these 50 startups, help them grow, and celebrate their success. The program also wants to build a strong culture of entrepreneurship and encourage more young people to follow their dreams in business.

The event to launch the initiative was a celebration of these new startups. One of the highlights was a talk by Emirati businessman Faisal Belhoul, who is also a Board Member of Dubai Chambers. He shared tips and lessons about how to succeed in business and how entrepreneurs play a big part in shaping the UAE’s future economy.

The event was attended by young entrepreneurs, investors, incubator and accelerator teams, family business owners, and top companies. There was also an exhibition where the 50 startups displayed their work, showing off their unique ideas, achievements, and growth.

The Big Picture

Startups in the UAE are growing fast and helping to create new jobs, expand the economy, and meet the UAE’s national goals. The 50 companies chosen in this initiative were selected for their strong potential to lead the economy of the future.

The ‘UAE Future 50’ follows the success of a previous program called ‘Future 100’, which was also created by the Government Development and the Future Office and the Ministry of Economy. Both programs aim to highlight top startups, promote innovation, and support the UAE’s global status as a leader in business and technology.

In the end, this initiative is all about giving young Emiratis the chance to shine, build powerful businesses, and help the UAE grow into one of the most advanced and prepared countries in the world.
