Sharjah Marks UAE Flag Day with Pride and Unity

Sharjah, UAE – The spirit of national pride soared high as His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, led the UAE Flag Day celebrations on Monday morning at Flag Island.

Held annually on November 3, the ceremony reflected the deep sense of unity and belonging that binds the people of the Emirates under one flag — a symbol of dignity, honour, and the nation’s enduring aspirations.

The Crown Prince, accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, reaffirmed that the UAE flag remains a proud emblem of the Union and a reflection of the country’s strength and achievements on global stages.

At exactly 11 a.m., the Crown Prince raised the national flag as the Sharjah Police band played the UAE national anthem. The sight of the flag rising gracefully into the morning sky filled the gathering with emotion and pride, embodying the shared spirit of loyalty and unity that Flag Day represents.

The event witnessed the presence of senior officials and dignitaries, including Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Finance Department; Sheikh Khaled bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Ports, Customs and Free Zones Authority; Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Statistics and Community Development; Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Districts Affairs Department; and Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Director of the Sharjah General Authority of Islamic Affairs & Endowments.

Together, they joined citizens and officials in honouring the UAE flag — a timeless symbol of the nation’s unity, ambition, and steadfast pride.
