UAE and Syria Strengthen Ties with Eid Greetings and New Flight Routes

Post by : Elena Malik

The President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, recently exchanged Eid greetings with Syrian leader Ahmad Al-Sharaa. This friendly exchange comes as the two countries work to restore their relationship after several years of tension during the previous Syrian administration.

Both leaders shared their wishes for ongoing progress, peace, and stability in their nations. Their conversation highlights the growing closeness between the UAE and Syria, especially as passenger flights between Dubai and Damascus have started again.

Earlier in April, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed welcomed Ahmad Al-Sharaa to the UAE. During this visit, the President promised that the UAE would continue to support the Syrian people as they face a five-year transitional period and work hard to rebuild their country.

Syria's new transitional government officially took office on March 29, just a few months after President Bashar al-Assad was removed from power. This important step marks a new chapter for Syria, with hopes for better relations and stability ahead.
