Trump revealed his intention to create a task force dedicated to conducting a thorough financial and performance audit of the federal government if he wins the 2024 election.

Trump emphasized the necessity of this audit, stating that the task force will propose substantial reforms based on its findings to overhaul government operations. He highlighted the urgency for these reforms to address current inefficiencies. Notably, Trump announced that Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, Tesla, and X, will lead this task force, with Musk reportedly agreeing to the role.

Trump also elaborated on his vision for the U.S., including plans to establish the country as a global leader in cryptocurrency and bitcoin. He pledged to eliminate at least ten outdated regulations and introduce ten new ones, aiming to embrace future industries and reduce regulatory burdens. His goal is to foster innovation and support emerging technologies.

In his address, Trump reiterated his commitment to removing old regulations and supporting new ones. "To tackle rising costs, I will remove at least ten old regulations and replace them with more effective ones," Trump stated. He criticized existing policies that he believes hinder progress and reaffirmed his intention to make the U.S. a leading hub for cryptocurrency and technology.

Trump praised Musk for his endorsement and support, describing him as a valuable ally whose leadership will be crucial for the task force. He described the planned audit as essential for uncovering and eliminating waste and fraud, which he claims cost taxpayers billions annually. Trump believes that addressing these inefficiencies could save trillions of dollars and reduce government waste significantly.

Additionally, Trump vowed to make the "Trump tax cuts" permanent and eliminate taxes on tips. He claimed that Vice President Kamala Harris recently adopted a similar proposal but would not follow through with it. Trump also promised not to tax Social Security benefits, aiming to protect retirees from inflation's impact.

Trump highlighted his administration's previous success in implementing tax cuts without increasing the deficit, citing increased revenue from a lower tax rate. He proposed further reducing the corporate tax rate from 21% to 15% for companies manufacturing goods in the U.S., and expanding research and development tax credits to support American manufacturing.
