Khorfakkan Hosts Thrilling Tiger Obstacle Race 2026

Khorfakkan Amphitheatre hosted the fourth edition of the Tiger Obstacle Race on Saturday, attracting 2,300 participants of all ages and nationalities who love adventure and challenges.

The race featured different courses for various age groups:

• Children (4-9 years): 800 metres

• Youth (10-15 years): 1.5 kilometres

• Professional: 8 kilometres

• Open Category: 4 km and 8 km

Participants faced exciting obstacles like rope climbing, ice pools, water slides, and a bell-climbing challenge, testing their fitness, strength, and endurance.

Cash prizes worth AED 20,000 were awarded to the top three finishers in the professional men’s and women’s categories.

His Excellency Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, said the race promotes sport as a lifestyle and praised Khorfakkan for its mountains, valleys, and beaches, making it ideal for such events.

The event was supported by key government and private sponsors, including the Sharjah Civil Defence, Sharjah Police, Sharjah Electricity, Water & Gas Authority, BEEAH, Zulal Water Factory, Shurooq, Khorfakkan Club, and Khorfakkan Municipality.
