Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region, the third Dhafra Camel Racing Festival is all set to captivate heritage sports fans from 23rd to 26th October at the Camel Racing Track in Zayed City, Al Dhafra Region.
The Camel Racing Federation announced that this year’s edition will feature 100 competitive races across three key categories — Haqayiq, Lagayya, and Ezaa. A total of 24 championship symbols will be contested, with eight trophies in each category, accompanied by valuable cash and in-kind prizes for the winners.

Building on the overwhelming success of the previous two editions, the upcoming festival is expected to witness a record turnout of local and international participants. The event continues to embody the UAE’s deep-rooted connection to its Bedouin traditions, serving as a living tribute to the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, whose legacy remains a cornerstone of the nation’s cultural identity.
With every stride and cheer, the Dhafra Camel Racing Festival promises not just a thrilling sporting spectacle, but also a proud reminder of the UAE’s enduring heritage and unity through time-honoured tradition.
