The 16th edition of The Mining Show 2024, held on November 26–27 at Festival Arena in Dubai, concluded with significant participation from global industry leaders. The event featured over 200 international exhibitors and more than 150 speakers, highlighting the latest advancements in mining and quarrying.
Emesent's HoverMap Unveiled
Dr. Jeremy Sofonia introduced HoverMap, an innovative SLAM-based LiDAR solution by Emesent. Designed for versatility, HoverMap can be deployed on drones, backpacks, handheld devices, and vehicles, providing accurate mapping in challenging environments. This technology enables detailed data collection in previously inaccessible areas, enhancing safety and operational efficiency in the mining industry.

India's Pioneering Role in Mining Innovations
The Indian Pavilion, inaugurated by the Honorable Minister of Mines and Consultant General Mr. Satish Sivan, showcased India's leadership in mining technologies and sustainable solutions. The pavilion featured eco-friendly mining practices and advanced technologies, underscoring India's commitment to a sustainable future. This presence highlighted India's role in making global mining more efficient and environmentally conscious.

Diverse Participation: Attendees from Saudi Arabia, Oman, Egypt, Morocco, and across Africa engaged in discussions on the future of the mining industry.
Exhibition and Conference: The event included a free-to-attend exhibition with over 200 companies and five international pavilions from Germany, India, China, Poland, and Pakistan. More than 150 conference speakers shared insights on various industry topics.
Government Support: The event was supported by the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, Ministry of Interior, and The Fujairah Natural Resources Corporation, emphasizing the UAE's commitment to the mining sector.
