The 21st edition of the Dubai WoodShow kicked off at Zabeel Halls 4, 5, and 6 of the Dubai World Trade Centre. The prestigious event, inaugurated by Mahir Abdul Karim Julfar, Executive Vice President of the Dubai World Trade Centre, runs through April 16, 2025. The exhibition continues to serve as the premier platform for the wood and woodworking machinery industry in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, attracting a dynamic participation of industry leaders from over 50 countries.
This year's edition emphasizes Dubai’s commitment to industrial growth, technological innovation, and sustainable practices. It has garnered attention as a crucial platform for fostering investments, exchanging expertise, and showcasing groundbreaking advancements in the wood industry. The event represents a cornerstone of manufacturing and supply chains across both the UAE and the broader region.
Official Tour and Strong International Presence
During the inaugural day, Mahir Abdul Karim Julfar was joined by senior officials and key industry stakeholders for an official tour of the exhibition. Driving Green Growth: A Strategic Industry Platform
Dawood Al Shezawi, President of Dubai WoodShow, underscored the exhibition’s growing impact on the region’s industrial and commercial landscape. He emphasized the vital role of the event in promoting sustainability and supporting Dubai’s efforts to become a global leader in green technologies:
"Dubai WoodShow has evolved into a strategic platform that fuels industrial development. It enables meaningful partnerships between manufacturers, distributors, and investors, particularly in the context of rising demand for sustainable wood materials across industries like construction, interior design, and furniture. The event aligns with the UAE’s Energy Strategy 2050 and Dubai’s green economy aspirations," said Al Shezawi.
He further highlighted that the Dubai WoodShow supports Dubai’s Climate Action Plan, which aims to reduce carbon emissions by 50% by 2030 and achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. By promoting sustainable wood as an eco-friendly alternative, the exhibition is advancing intelligent solutions in sustainable construction and green manufacturing practices.
