Actor Steve Carell, famous for his role in The Office, has helped high school students in Southern California after the recent wildfires. Many families lost their homes, and students were facing tough times. To bring some happiness, Carell decided to pay for their prom tickets. He worked with a charity called Alice’s Kids to make this possible and shared the good on Instagram.

Students from six high schools in Pasadena will get their prom tickets for free. If any student already bought a ticket, they will get their money back. Carell shared this message in a video, which was played at school events in Altadena.
In the video, Carell spoke directly to the students. He said, "Attention all seniors. This is Steve Carell with a very special announcement. I work with a wonderful charity called Alice’s Kids. They wanted me to tell you that they will be paying for all of your prom tickets. If you already bought one, they will give your money back." His words brought big smiles and cheers from the students.
Before ending the video, Carell asked students to enjoy their prom. He joked, "It’s a great deal. Have fun at prom, and remember, this is Steve Carell."
People on social media loved this kind act. Many fans even compared it to an episode of The Office, where Carell’s character, Michael Scott, promises to pay for students’ college but cannot do it.
The wildfires in Los Angeles destroyed over 16,000 homes and buildings. Sadly, at least 29 people lost their lives. Schools were also affected, and many students had to find new places to study. In these hard times, Carell’s gift has given students something to be happy about. Now, they can celebrate a special night without worrying about money.
