Abu Dhabi-based Silal, a prominent agri-food and technology company, has unveiled one of the UAE's largest food distribution facilities within the Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD). Spanning an impressive 41,000 square meters, this state-of-the-art facility is equipped with cutting-edge technologies and infrastructure aimed at enhancing food distribution capabilities in the region.

Key features of the facility include a substantial capacity of over 36,800 pallet positions and a sophisticated cold storage area. These elements are crucial for maintaining the quality and safety of perishable goods throughout the distribution process. The facility also boasts a 38-dock loading area designed to streamline transportation logistics and ensure efficient movement of goods.

By establishing this hub at KEZAD, Silal aims to optimize distribution operations, reduce logistics costs, and facilitate faster turnaround times for deliveries.

Furthermore, Silal's initiative aligns with broader objectives to expand trade opportunities and strengthen supply chain resilience across the UAE. The facility is strategically positioned to serve as a central point for food distribution, catering not only to local markets but also enhancing connectivity to global markets through its re-export and repacking capabilities.

This milestone underscores Silal's role as a leader in the agri-food sector, leveraging advanced technologies to address evolving challenges in food distribution and logistics. The company's investment in this facility reflects its proactive approach to meeting the growing demands of consumers and stakeholders in the UAE and beyond.
