On the second day of GITEX Global 2024, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, the Sharjah Government Pavilion continued to attract significant attention from leading visitors and experts in technology and innovation. The pavilion became a focal point for showcasing Sharjah’s latest advancements in digital technologies, with a strong emphasis on digital transformation and the enhancement of government services.

Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Higher Committee of the Sharjah Government Pavilion and Director-General of Sharjah Digital Authority, made an official visit to the Abu Dhabi Government Pavilion, where he was warmly received by Ahmed Tamim Al Kuttab, Chairman of the Government Empowerment Department in Abu Dhabi. During this visit, Sheikh Saud was briefed on the latest AI-driven digital solutions being implemented to improve customer experience, foster innovation, and enhance operational efficiency within government entities.

In addition to visiting Abu Dhabi’s pavilion, Sheikh Saud also toured the stands of the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) and the Dubai Digital Authority. His engagements reflected Sharjah’s commitment to aligning itself with the broader regional drive towards digital transformation by leveraging the best in modern technology and government service innovations.

The Sharjah Government Pavilion's projects and initiatives highlight the emirate's strong focus on utilizing top-tier digital solutions aimed at enhancing the efficiency, flexibility, and speed of government operations. These efforts serve as a testament to Sharjah's resolve in embracing cutting-edge technology to foster a more streamlined, agile, and digitally empowered future for its citizens.

Among the key innovations unveiled at the Sharjah Government Pavilion was the "Hakam" (Referee) app, introduced by the Sharjah Sports Council as part of its broader initiatives for the Sharjah Sports Challenge. This app, developed in collaboration with Sharjah Municipality, encourages the public to visit parks and engage in physical activities by offering users the ability to monitor their health, locate parks, and participate in sports challenges. Through the app, users are empowered to track their fitness progress while engaging in outdoor activities, further promoting healthy lifestyles in the community.

Additionally, the Holy Quran Academy of Sharjah launched the "Tilawa" (Quranic Recitation) app, which leverages artificial intelligence to offer users a comprehensive experience in Quranic recitation. This app features tools for correcting recitations, comparing different readings, and even allows users to record their recitations for future review. The AI-driven functionality of "Tilawa" makes it a unique offering for those seeking to improve their recitation skills while benefiting from innovative technology.

Another highlight of the pavilion was the virtual tours provided by the Sharjah Agriculture and Livestock Department, showcasing the emirate's advances in agricultural biotechnology. The virtual tours spotlighted the Sharjah Wheat Farm, where 550 non-GMO wheat varieties are cultivated using state-of-the-art biotechnology. The Mleiha Dairy Farm was also featured, with a focus on its advanced monitoring systems, which include smart collars and robotic technology designed to ensure optimal cattle welfare. These initiatives underscore Sharjah's commitment to sustainable agricultural practices and technological innovation in the food production sector.

The Sharjah Central Finance Department also made waves with its introduction of the "Al-Mustashrif" (Sharjah Future) app. Powered by AI, this app analyzes financial data spanning 25 years to provide precise forecasting of government revenues and expenditures. The app is designed to enhance resource planning and ensure efficient financial management across government entities. By utilizing advanced data analytics, Sharjah aims to further strengthen its financial ecosystem, ensuring long-term sustainability and accountability in governance.

Through its participation in GITEX Global 2024, Sharjah has clearly demonstrated its ambition to integrate cutting-edge digital technologies across various sectors, from government services to health, agriculture, and finance. The emirate's wide-ranging digital initiatives reflect a harmonious approach to tackling modern challenges while striving to create a sustainable, efficient, and forward-looking digital future.
