The Saudi men’s handball team has reached the final of the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games (Riyadh 2025) after a powerful and confident performance against the United Arab Emirates. The semifinal match ended with a big win for Saudi Arabia, who defeated the UAE team 29–15. This victory puts the Saudi team one step away from winning the gold medal, and they will now prepare to face Bahrain in the final match tomorrow.

The game showed the strength and skill of the Saudi players, who entered the match with determination and focus. They knew the semifinal was an important step toward the championship, and they delivered an impressive performance from start to finish.

In the first half of the match, both teams played with high energy and strong defense. The UAE team tried to keep up with Saudi Arabia and managed to stay close in the early minutes. However, as the first half continued, the Saudi team began to take control.

Saudi Arabia ended the first half with a 10–8 lead. While the difference was only two goals, the Saudi players looked confident and organized. Their teamwork allowed them to create openings, defend strongly, and move the ball effectively.

The UAE team attempted several counterattacks, but the Saudi defense remained firm and well-coordinated. The first half ended with Saudi Arabia in control, but the game was still open for either team.

The second half belonged entirely to Saudi Arabia. The team returned to the court with renewed energy and a clear strategy. They quickly increased the tempo of the game and began to score goal after goal. The UAE team struggled to keep up with the fast and aggressive style of the Saudi players.

In the second half, Saudi Arabia outscored the UAE 19–5. This extraordinary scoring run showed the team’s strength, fitness, and excellent preparation. Every part of the team worked together — offense, defense, and goalkeeping. They controlled possession, created many scoring chances, and made it difficult for the UAE to respond.

As the minutes passed, the Saudi lead grew larger, and the UAE team found it harder to stop the attacks. By the end of the match, the score was 29–15, a clear and decisive victory for Saudi Arabia.

With this semifinal victory, the Saudi handball team has earned a place in the final, where they will face Bahrain. Bahrain is known for having a strong and experienced handball team, so the final is expected to be an exciting and competitive match.

The Saudi players and coaching staff are now preparing for the final, aiming to finish the tournament with a gold medal. Their performance in the semifinal has given fans great confidence that the team can continue their winning form.

In addition to the handball tournament, the Islamic Solidarity Games also feature several other sports. Today, the men’s and women’s team fencing events are taking place. The Saudi fencing teams are competing in three categories: foil, épée, and sabre.

These events bring together talented fencers from across the Islamic world, and Saudi Arabia is aiming to show strong results in each category. The fencing competition adds to the excitement of the Games, which include many sports and athletes from different nations.

Saudi Arabia’s performance at the Islamic Solidarity Games continues to impress fans and supporters. The handball team’s victory over the UAE is one of the highlights of the tournament so far. With the final match coming up, excitement is growing as the team moves closer to a possible championship win.

The continued participation in fencing and other sports also shows the country’s commitment to supporting its athletes across many disciplines. The Riyadh 2025 Games are proving to be a major sporting event that brings nations together and celebrates talent, unity, and competition.
