Bollywood superstar Salman Khan once again amazed his fans after sharing a photo on Instagram where he showed off his strong and toned body at the age of 59. The actor’s post on Monday, November 3, quickly went viral, with fans praising his incredible fitness and discipline. In the photo, Salman appeared shirtless, flaunting his ripped physique. His caption read, “Kuch haasil karne ke liye kuch chhodna padta hai… Yeh bina chhode hai,” which means “To achieve something, you have to give up something… but this was done without giving up.”
The post hinted that Salman did not follow any extreme diets or overly strict routines to maintain his shape. Instead, his secret lies in a simple yet powerful mix of regular exercise, old-school workouts, and healthy home-cooked food — or as he calls it, “ghar ka khana.”
Salman Khan has always been known for his strong and disciplined approach to fitness. But what makes his routine special is that he focuses on consistency and balance, not shortcuts. His trainer, Rakkesh R. Uddiyar, who has been working with him for more than 20 years, shared some key details about the actor’s fitness plan in an interview with Live Mint earlier this year.
According to Rakkesh, Salman follows an old-school bodybuilding routine that includes a technique called the “giant set.” This workout style is also known as HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training). It involves performing several exercises one after another without taking long breaks. Salman’s routine includes around 10 variations of chest exercises, such as incline presses, push-ups, and fly movements.
What makes his workout unique is that he does not rest between exercises. The only short break he takes is while moving from one exercise to the next, which usually takes about 30 seconds. His gym sessions last between 45 minutes to 1 hour, during which he trains intensely and sweats a lot — often without air conditioning.
Salman doesn’t believe in lifting extremely heavy weights. Instead, he focuses on volume training, which means doing more repetitions with moderate weights. This helps build muscle strength and endurance while avoiding injury. His trainer explained, “HIIT makes you sweat, tires you faster, and burns more calories in less time.”
Another important part of Salman’s fitness secret is his diet. Unlike many celebrities who rely on complicated diets or supplements, Salman prefers to eat simple home-cooked food. His meals are carefully planned to include the right amount of protein, carbohydrates, and fats.
Salman has said in interviews that he enjoys traditional Indian meals, which are rich in nutrients and easy to digest. He stays away from junk food and focuses on dishes that are light, clean, and full of energy. He also drinks plenty of water and ensures he stays hydrated during and after workouts.
His trainer mentioned that the actor’s diet plan changes depending on his film roles, but he always keeps one rule the same — “Eat clean and eat simple.” Salman is known to eat foods like grilled chicken, eggs, dal, vegetables, and brown rice. He avoids processed food and prefers natural ingredients cooked at home.
Apart from working out and eating well, Salman also maintains a disciplined daily routine. He sleeps on time, wakes up early, and makes sure to exercise at least six days a week. His focus is on staying consistent rather than pushing himself to the limit.
Rakkesh revealed that Salman’s motivation comes from within. He treats fitness as a lifestyle, not a short-term goal. Even after all these years, the actor continues to push himself with the same dedication that he had when he first started his career. “He’s one of the most committed people I’ve trained,” Rakkesh said. “He never skips a workout unless it’s absolutely necessary.”
Salman’s fitness journey is also an inspiration for his fans across generations. His strong physique at nearly 60 proves that age is just a number when one stays disciplined. Fitness experts believe that his approach — focusing on regular workouts, eating home-cooked meals, and avoiding extremes — is a sustainable and healthy way to stay in shape.
The actor’s recent photo not only broke the internet but also served as a reminder that true fitness is built through consistency, hard work, and balanced living. Salman Khan’s message to his fans seems simple yet powerful: You don’t need to give up everything to stay fit — you just need to stay committed and make smart choices.
At 59, Salman continues to inspire millions with his energy, confidence, and determination. Whether it’s his early morning workouts, his clean eating habits, or his no-nonsense attitude toward fitness, the actor shows that health is not about quick fixes — it’s about a lifestyle built on discipline, patience, and self-belief.
