Aircraft of Buddha Air Skids Off Runway in Nepal, No Injuries Reported
An aircraft operated by Nepal's private carrier Buddha Air, carrying 59 people, skidded off the runway while landing at Gautam Buddha Airport in Siddharthanagar, Lumbini province, on Thursday night. Rupandehi District Police Spokesperson Manohar Prasad Bhatta confirmed the incident to The Kathmandu Post. The flight, numbered 805, veered off the runway due to muddy conditions during its east-to-west landing approach.

Fortunately, all 59 passengers, including four crew members, were safely evacuated from the aircraft. The airport has been temporarily closed as authorities work to clear the runway.
Buddha Air, based in Lalitpur, operates both domestic flights within Nepal and international routes to India, primarily to Varanasi.
