Kamilla Belyatskaya, a 24-year-old actress from Novosibirsk, Russia, died in a very sad accident while on holiday in Thailand. She was sitting and meditating on a yoga mat near the rocky area of Lad Ko viewpoint when a big wave came and pulled her into the sea.
A video showed her trying very hard to escape the strong waves, but the water was too powerful. She was dragged under and could not get out. Rescuers came quickly, and a man nearby tried to help, but the waves were too big, making it hard for anyone to save her. Later, her body was found far away, about two-thirds of a mile from where the wave took her. During the search, her pink yoga mat was the only thing seen floating, helping rescuers look for her.
This sad event happened just a few days before Kamilla was supposed to get married. Her fiancé shared that they had been planning their wedding. This made her death even harder for her loved ones to bear. The man who tried to save her also got caught in the dangerous water, and it is still not clear what happened to him.

After the accident, officials decided to close the rocky area near Lad Ko viewpoint to keep people safe from similar dangers.
Kamilla loved Koh Samui, the island where this happened. She often posted on social media, calling it her “home” and saying it was her favorite place. In one of her posts, she wrote, “I love Samui so much. But this place, this rocky beach, is the best thing I’ve ever seen in my life. Thank you, universe, for me being here right now. I’m very happy.”
Her sudden death has left her family, friends, and many people who knew her feeling very sad. She was known as a joyful and bright young woman with big dreams for her future. This accident is a reminder that nature can sometimes be very powerful and that people should always be careful near the sea.
