Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has been honored with the prestigious SAG Award for Special Achievement in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for its cutting-edge Enterprise GIS Platform. This award acknowledges RTA's outstanding efforts in leveraging GIS technology to enhance operational efficiency, facilitate informed decision-making, and improve the quality of services provided to the public, aligning with the strategic objectives of the Dubai Government.

RTA is committed to the ongoing development and adoption of modern technologies to ensure the delivery of top-notch services and to elevate Dubai's infrastructure to new heights. Hessa Al Suwaidi, the Director of Information Technology at the Corporate Technology Support Services Sector of RTA, emphasized the significance of the Enterprise GIS Platform, which was developed using Esri technology. She noted that the platform incorporates best practices to ensure business continuity, rapid disaster recovery, flexibility, and the automation of operational tasks, all while adhering to the highest standards of information security.
Al Suwaidi stated, “Winning this award is a testament to RTA's standing as a leader in technological innovation and a strategic partner in developing Dubai’s smart infrastructure.
