Rishi Negi Clarifies Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss Fee and Role Rumours

As Season 19 unfolds, one major topic drawing attention is Salman Khan’s alleged remuneration, which is said to be between ₹150 and ₹200 crore per season. Alongside, rumors have circulated about the superstar being guided on what to say during the weekend episodes.

Producer Addresses the Buzz

In a recent conversation, Bigg Boss 19 producer Rishi Negi of Banijay Asia and Endemol Shine India addressed the ongoing speculations.

Refusing to confirm the exact figure, Negi stated,

“This contract is between him and JioHotstar, so I am not privy to that. But whatever the rumor is, he is worth every penny. For me, as long as he is there on my weekend, I am a happy person.”

On Allegations of Salman Being Coached

When asked about claims that Salman Khan is briefed on how to handle contestants or guided via an earpiece, Negi laughed off the suggestions.

“Whoever knows Salman Khan knows it’s not possible to make him say anything that he doesn’t believe in, right?” he said.

Negi clarified that Salman actively reviews the show’s content and forms his own opinions.

Salman tries to catch the episodes. If he’s unable to, he watches an hour or two of footage with us over the weekend to go through all the major developments. He also gets feedback from people he knows who watch the show. So, he has a strong grasp of what’s happening,” the producer explained.

A Collaborative Weekend Process

According to Negi, the weekend episodes are a result of a collaborative effort between Salman, the creative team, and audience feedback.

“He has his own point of view on what’s right or wrong. We, as creators, have ours, and we also get continuous feedback from viewers. Putting all of that together is how we shape the weekend episodes,” he said.

Bigg Boss 19’s producer has dismissed claims of Salman Khan being fed scripted lines or guided opinions. While staying tight-lipped about the reported ₹150 crore paycheck, Negi affirmed that the superstar is deeply involved in reviewing episodes and shaping the tone of the show each weekend — making him, as the producer says, “worth every penny.”
