Qatar, Italy leaders talk Gaza and stronger parliament ties

Doha: The Speaker of Qatar’s Shura Council, H.E. Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim, met with the President of Italy’s Chamber of Deputies, H.E. Lorenzo Fontana, during his visit to Qatar.

In their meeting, both leaders talked about how Qatar and Italy can work better together, especially in parliament (which is a group that helps make laws). They agreed to stay in touch, share ideas, and work closely in global meetings.

They also spoke about the hard situation in Gaza. The Qatari Speaker said that parliaments around the world must help stop the fighting and care for the people who are suffering. He asked European countries to take stronger steps to help stop the pain in Gaza and support fairness and peace.

Also, the Secretary-General of the Shura Council, H.E. Nayef bin Mohamed Al Mahmoud, met with the Secretary-General of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, H.E. Fabrizio Castaldi. They talked about working together, sharing knowledge, and helping each other do better in their work.

These meetings show that Qatar and Italy want to be good friends, help each other, and support peace in the world.
