The Hatta Winter Festival, hosted by Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office, continues to attract creative minds with its fun and community-centered activities.
One of the main highlights of the festival, the Photo Walk, took place on January 4, 2025. It brought together both experienced and beginner photographers to capture Hatta’s stunning landscapes and lively culture.
This Photo Walk is a great example of how the festival connects creative people to showcase Hatta’s beauty as a natural and cultural treasure. The event was organized in partnership with fotoUAE and led by well-known Emirati photographer Ola Allouz. During the walk, skilled photographers guided participants, sharing tips and tricks to help them capture the heart of Hatta through their cameras. The group explored Hatta’s amazing sights, from its rocky mountains to peaceful valleys, while also highlighting the rich cultural life of the area.

118 people attended the event, including 73 who visited Hatta for the first time. Fujifilm Middle East supported the event by providing cameras with advanced technology to enhance the photography experience.
The Photo Walk aimed to help participants improve their photography skills and create a collection of pictures that tell the story of Hatta. Through these images, the event hopes to share Hatta’s spirit and beauty with the world.
The Hatta Winter Festival runs from December 13, 2024, to January 22, 2025. It is part of the larger Hatta Winter program, launched under the directions of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council. The festival offers a variety of activities, including workshops, cultural events, fitness sessions, and outdoor adventures.
In addition to the Hatta Winter Festival, the program features four other festivals. These include Hatta Cultural Nights, organized by the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority; the Hatta Honey Festival and the Hatta Agricultural Festival, both hosted by Dubai Municipality; and Hatta x DSF, organized by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism.
