Dubai has announced that people will not have to pay for public parking during the Hijri New Year holiday.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) said that on Sunday, July 7, all public parking areas in Dubai will be free. However, if you are parking in multi-level buildings, you will still need to pay as usual.
The RTA also shared updates about changes in the timings of public transport services for the holiday.

Metro and Tram Timings:
On Sunday, both the Red and Green Metro lines will start working from 5:00 AM and will run until 1:00 AM the next day (Monday). Dubai Tram will also run on the same schedule – from 6:00 AM to 1:00 AM the next day.
Bus Services:
Dubai Bus will follow its regular Sunday schedule. Bus stations in different areas of the city will operate as usual.
Customer Happiness Centres:
These centers, where people go to solve transport or road-related problems, will be closed on July 7 for the holiday. They will reopen on Monday, July 8.
Vehicle Testing Centres:
All technical testing centers for vehicles will also remain closed on the holiday. They will open again on Monday.
The RTA has asked everyone to use public transport more during the holiday to avoid traffic and enjoy a smooth travel experience.
