Miss Universe Jamaica 2025, Dr Gabrielle Henry, faced a frightening accident during the preliminary rounds of Miss Universe 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand. On November 19, while walking the stage in an orange evening gown and high heels, Gabrielle missed a step and fell off the stage.
The incident occurred during the evening gown segment, a key part of the competition where contestants showcase elegance, poise, and style. Social media videos quickly captured the fall, showing Gabrielle slipping and tumbling off the elevated platform. Following the accident, she was carried off the stage on a stretcher.
Gabrielle, 28, was immediately taken to Paolo Rangsit Hospital for medical care. The Miss Universe Jamaica Organisation shared updates on Instagram confirming that she is not suffering from life-threatening injuries. Doctors are conducting additional tests to ensure her full recovery before she returns to public appearances or pageant-related activities.
The fall shocked both fans and fellow contestants, coming amid a Miss Universe 2025 competition already filled with drama. Just days before, three judges resigned from the pageant, adding to the tension surrounding the event. Gabrielle’s fall highlighted the risks contestants face while navigating high heels, long gowns, and stage setups under the pressure of live audiences and cameras.
Despite the accident, Gabrielle Henry has received support from fans worldwide. Messages of encouragement flooded social media, with many praising her bravery and wishing her a speedy recovery. The Miss Universe Organisation has also expressed concern and support for the contestant.
The evening gown segment is one of the most challenging parts of any pageant. Contestants must maintain composure and elegance while managing heavy or long gowns and high heels on raised stages. Gabrielle’s fall serves as a reminder of the physical demands of pageant competitions and the importance of safety measures to protect participants.
While Gabrielle’s health remains the priority, the competition continues, with fans hoping she recovers quickly and is able to return to public events. The Miss Universe 2025 finale is scheduled for November 21 in Thailand, and the pageant community is rallying around Gabrielle in this challenging moment.
