Meghan Markle Hits Major Instagram Milestone One Day After Personal Launch

Meghan Markle has reached a huge milestone on Instagram just hours after posting for the first time on her account. Launched on January 1, the Duchess of Sussex’s Instagram account quickly gained 1 million followers, showing how much attention she’s been getting. This marks the end of a five-year break from social media, which started after her engagement to Prince Harry and her official role in the British royal family. As members of the royal family are not allowed to have personal social media accounts, Meghan had to step away from platforms like Instagram.

Before marrying Harry, Meghan, known for her role in Suits, had 3 million followers on Instagram.
To kick off 2025, Meghan made a strong return to Instagram with her first post in years. She shared an unfiltered video, possibly filmed by Harry, showing her running to a beach to write “2025” in the sand. Dressed in all white, she quickly ran off-camera after writing the year. The video is believed to have been taken at a beach near their home in Montecito, California, where Meghan, Harry, and their children, Prince Archie (5) and Princess Lilibet (3), live.

Just a day after, on January 2, Meghan surprised her followers with another post. This time, she shared the official trailer for her upcoming Netflix series, With Love, Meghan. The show, which Meghan is both hosting and producing, will have eight episodes starting on January 15.

In her post, Meghan shared how excited she was to reveal the show. She wrote, “I have been so excited to share this with you! I hope you love the show as much as I loved making it,” with the song Do You Believe in Magic playing in the background.

The trailer showed Meghan doing various activities, such as cooking, gardening, shopping for flowers, and baking with friends like Mindy Kaling and Abigail Spencer. Prince Harry also made an appearance in the trailer, sharing a warm hug with Meghan and clinking champagne glasses on a sunny patio.
