On Tuesday, February 4, Meghan shared this story in an Instagram post. The Duchess of Sussex, 43, explained how she and Billie, 23, worked together to surprise the girl with a special gift.

In a video, Meghan smiled and said, "I was just told that something arrived that I have been waiting for." She walked through her home and showed her excitement. When she reached the room, she let out a sigh of relief when she saw a box filled with Billie Eilish merchandise.

Meghan then shared how this kind gesture came to be. A few weeks ago, she and her husband, Prince Harry, visited the Altadena neighborhood in Los Angeles to meet survivors of the wildfires. During their visit, Meghan met a woman who had just returned to find her home destroyed by the fire.

The woman shared that her 15-year-old daughter had lost everything in the fire, including a Billie Eilish t-shirt she loved. The mother explained that in the rush to leave, her daughter had forgotten the shirt in the washing machine, and it was now gone.

Meghan wanted to help, so she decided to contact Billie Eilish. She didn’t know the singer personally, but she was determined to help the girl. Meghan said, “I don’t know Billie Eilish, but I’m going to figure out how to get this girl her shirt.”

Meghan reached out to her contacts and sent a message asking for help in getting the shirt to Billie. Thanks to her efforts, Billie sent a big box of signed merchandise instead of just one t-shirt.

In the video, Meghan showed off the gifts, including a lunchbox with a gold star on it. Laughing, she asked, “Is that a thing?” She then thanked Billie for her kindness.

Meghan also thanked Adam Levine and his wife, Behati Prinsloo, for helping connect her to Billie Eilish. She ended her message by thanking everyone who has been helping people affected by the wildfires in California. “To everyone who is showing up for people in big and small ways to get through what’s happened in California—thank you so much.”

Due to the wildfires, Meghan postponed the release of her Netflix show *With Love, Meghan*. It was supposed to be out on January 15 but will now be released on March 4.
