In 2024, His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Ports and Borders Security Council, inaugurated the fifth edition of the 'Emarat Al Aman' competitions at Dubai Mall’s Zabeel Sports District. This highly anticipated event, organized by the Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA) in partnership with Emaar, will run until November 7.
The opening ceremony was attended by several key figures, including His Excellency Awad Hader Al Muhairi, Chairman of SIRA; His Excellency Khalifa Ibrahim Al Saleis, CEO of SIRA; His Excellency Yousuf Al Shaibani, CEO of the Dubai Electronic Security Centre; and His Excellency Omar Al-Adidi, Secretary General of the Dubai Council for Border Crossing Points Security. These leaders highlighted the significance of the event in promoting security awareness and community collaboration.
Launched in 2018, the 'Emarat Al Aman' event was designed to enhance security awareness and foster stronger community engagement. Over the years, it has garnered the participation of over 500 teams and 4,200 individuals from both the public and private sectors, along with community members. The event’s core values are inspired by the UAE's commitment to unity and cooperation across various sectors.

The fifth edition of 'Emarat Al Aman' introduces a new set of physical and mental challenges aimed at strengthening teamwork, leadership skills, and strategic thinking. These competitions are designed to test the participants' abilities in a variety of scenarios that require quick decision-making and collaboration. The event has received the support of several prominent strategic partners, including UXI, Fly Dubai, Emirates NBD, U by Emaar, Emaar Gift Cards, and Dubai Media, which is the official media partner.
In addition to the usual challenges, this year's edition brings fresh elements to the competition. For the first time, the event will feature an art exhibition that includes a photo gallery documenting the competition's journey across the five editions. Another exhibition offers an interactive artistic experience for visitors, showcasing the works of renowned artists. These exhibitions provide a unique blend of art and security, adding a cultural dimension to the event.
SIRA has also introduced new and exciting challenges this year, raising the competition standards and ensuring heightened excitement among teams. Major prizes will be awarded to the top performers, and special gifts will be available for both participants and visitors to enjoy.
Registration for the event is open to all community members, allowing them to participate in various challenges throughout the week. The event continues to build on its legacy of fostering unity and enhancing community safety, in line with the UAE's core principles of cooperation and progress.
