Kuwaiti Kidnapping Foiled in Lebanon Suspects Arrested, Vehicle Seized

Lebanese security forces successfully rescued a Kuwaiti citizen kidnapped earlier this month, arresting three suspects involved in the abduction and seizing the vehicle used in the crime.

The Lebanese Army confirmed that the Directorate of Intelligence carried out the operation in the Saadnayel area of Zahle, eastern Lebanon, after days of careful surveillance and precise tracking. The kidnapped Kuwaiti national, taken on November 1, was safely recovered with no injuries reported.

During the arrest, one of the suspects fired at intelligence officers, prompting a measured response from security forces. Authorities emphasized that despite the exchange of fire, no casualties occurred. The suspects, two Lebanese nationals and one Syrian citizen, along with the confiscated vehicle, have been handed over to judicial authorities for further investigation.

The operation highlights Lebanon’s increasing efforts to combat organized crime and ensure the safety of foreign nationals in the country. Security officials stated that investigations are ongoing to determine whether the suspects were part of a larger network involved in kidnapping operations.
