Instagram has introduced a new feature called Blend, which lets you share a custom Reels feed with your friends or group chats. You can only use Blend if you are invited, and it gives you a new set of videos to enjoy every day. This feature is part of Instagram's plan to get more people to interact with each other and stand out from other apps like TikTok, especially as Instagram faces some challenges in the social media world.

With Blend, you and your friends can see what Reels you all like and enjoy watching content together. It’s a way to connect with others and find fresh content you might not have seen before.

To use Blend, open a private or group chat on Instagram and tap the Blend icon at the top of the screen. Then, you can invite others in the chat to join. The Blend will start as soon as one person accepts the invitation. After that, everyone in the chat can see a collection of Reels chosen for the group. If someone likes or comments on a Reel, Instagram will send a notification, so you can talk about it in the chat. You can always come back to the shared feed by going to the chat and tapping the Blend icon again.

If you decide that you don’t want to be part of a Blend anymore, you can easily leave it. Just go to the chat, tap the Blend icon, click the three-dot menu, and choose "Leave this Blend." This will remove you from the shared feed.

This new feature comes at an important time for Instagram. While Instagram is facing some legal issues, TikTok’s future in the US is uncertain. The app could be banned soon, but President Donald Trump is working on a deal with TikTok’s parent company to find a solution. The deadline for this decision was extended for another 75 days.

Also, Instagram is working on a special app for the iPad. Right now, iPads can only use the iPhone version of Instagram, which doesn't fit well on the bigger screen. There is no official release date for the iPad app yet, but Instagram is making it to improve the experience for iPad users.

With these updates, Instagram is making it easier for people to share and discover content with their friends, making the app more fun and interactive for everyone.
