Fujairah International Airport has announced a new partnership with IndiGo, one of India’s fastest-growing airlines. Starting from May 15, 2025, IndiGo will begin two daily direct flights from Fujairah to Mumbai and Kannur.
This new partnership is a big step forward in building strong travel connections between Fujairah (UAE) and India. These new flights will give passengers more options and easier access to these popular Indian cities. IndiGo is known for its on-time flights and well-planned schedules, so travellers can expect a smooth flying experience.
IndiGo’s decision to start flying to Fujairah means passengers will get better service, modern airplanes, and timely flights. This move is expected to improve travel connections between the UAE and India, especially for people visiting family, friends, or doing business.

Both Mumbai and Kannur are cities with high demand, especially among Indian residents and tourists in the UAE. So, these new flights are coming at just the right time.
Besides helping travellers, this partnership will also bring benefits to Fujairah itself. With more people flying in, Fujairah’s tourism and business sectors are expected to grow. Visitors will get the chance to explore Fujairah’s natural beauty, including its mountains and beaches, and this will help the local economy.
Captain Esmail Al Baloushi, General Manager of Fujairah International Airport, said,“We’re very happy to welcome IndiGo to our airport. This new partnership gives passengers more travel choices and better links between Fujairah and important cities in India. We believe this will make Fujairah a top choice for both international and regional travellers and will also help our tourism industry grow.”
Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, also shared his excitement:“We’re proud to start daily flights from Mumbai and Kannur to Fujairah. Fujairah is a beautiful and important place in the UAE, with mountains, a busy coastline, and lots of potential for tourism and business. It will be our 41st international destination and our fifth in the UAE, along with Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, and Ras Al Khaimah. We believe these flights will make travel easier and help connect people and businesses in the region.”
This new step will not only improve travel options but also bring more visitors to Fujairah, helping it grow as a tourist spot and business center.
