During his visit to the impressive 62-meter-long vessel, Sheikh Hazza was given a detailed briefing on the boat's advanced defense features. He learned about its cutting-edge technology, which includes modern navigation systems, surveillance equipment, and protection mechanisms that can defend against both surface and aerial threats. The boat is also equipped with advanced electronic warfare systems, automated control features, and smart weapons, all designed to enhance its operational abilities in various maritime environments.

Sheikh Hazza emphasized that the Al Taf missile boat is a significant step forward for the UAE Armed Forces. He pointed out how the boat's high operational performance and advanced technology improve the country's readiness to face different security challenges. He added that these new capabilities would help the UAE Navy perform its duties more effectively.

He also praised the UAE's progress in developing its naval defense industry. He recognized the support of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, for driving this progress. Sheikh Hazza highlighted how continued investment in defense technologies, strong partnerships, and leadership in this field are vital for the country’s security.

Accompanying His Highness during the event were Staff Major General Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, along with several other high-ranking officials.

Apart from the missile boat launch, Sheikh Hazza also visited the International Defence Exhibition (IDEX 2025), where he explored a range of new technologies and innovations in the defense and security sectors. He received briefings on various advanced systems and equipment displayed by both local and international companies.

The Al Taf missile boat is part of the UAE’s larger strategy to strengthen its naval forces. By equipping the armed forces with the latest defense technology, the country aims to improve its ability to protect its territorial waters and ensure maritime security.

NAVDEX and IDEX 2025 are two of the world’s leading defense exhibitions. They offer a platform for nations and companies to showcase the latest in defense technology and build strong partnerships. This year, NAVDEX saw record international participation, with over 65 countries involved and a significant increase in the number of exhibitors and exhibition space. This growth highlights the UAE's position as a global leader in defense innovation and technology.
