These include indoor football, men’s volleyball, women’s volleyball, men’s beach volleyball, an electronic games championship, a running race, a walking challenge for senior citizens, a weightlifting championship, women’s badminton, and a tug-of-war event.
Multiple Venues
Different sports will be played at various locations in Hatta. The indoor football, men’s volleyball, beach volleyball, electronic games, and weightlifting events will take place at the Hatta Sports Club. The women’s volleyball and women’s badminton matches will be held at the Community Development Authority Hall in Hatta. The senior citizens’ walking challenge will take place at the beautiful and eco-friendly Hatta Waterfalls.
Promoting Community Values
This year’s tournament also highlights the goals of the ‘Year of Community’ initiative. It aims to bring people together, encourage teamwork, and promote sportsmanship. The event will not only showcase the importance of leading a healthy and active lifestyle but will also provide a platform for people from different backgrounds to connect. Additionally, the tournament is expected to bring long-term social and economic benefits to the region.
Community Activities
Apart from sports, the tournament will also include several fun activities for the community. There will be daily competitions for children and girls, along with exciting prize giveaways for the audience. Special programs designed for families and young people will be held in the Matajer area, adding to the festive atmosphere of the event.
Organized and Secured Event
The organizing committee has completed all necessary preparations to ensure the tournament runs smoothly. This year, the event is sponsored by Al Shafar Investment Company and the Roads and Transport Authority, with support from Dubai Police, which will be responsible for security. Other organizations assisting with the tournament include the Community Development Authority in Dubai, Dubai Ambulance, and the Dubai Municipality Office in Hatta.
Encouraging Youth Participation
A key focus of this year’s tournament is involving the youth of Hatta in various aspects of the event. Many young people have been allowed to contribute to the tournament’s planning and organization. This experience will help them develop new skills, learn about teamwork, and gain a sense of national pride. The event also promotes volunteering and encourages a strong community spirit among young citizens.
With all these exciting activities lined up, the Hatta Ramadan Tournament is set to be a thrilling event that unites sports enthusiasts and the wider community in celebration of sports, fitness, and togetherness.
