Media producer, author, and creative educator Hamis Arieda has never viewed production as a behind-the-scenes job — for her, it’s a form of art. As the Head of Media Production at Medianation, she has built a career dedicated to turning ideas into impact, leading some of the UAE’s most ambitious creative projects across media, education, and business.
Now, following the success of her English-language book The Media Producer – The Artist Who Puts the Puzzle Together, published earlier this year by Erteqaa Publishing & Distribution, Arieda is releasing the Arabic edition — titled “صانع المحتوى الإعلامي” — in collaboration with Bu Melha Publishing.
The Arabic version will be officially unveiled this November, with a public book signing on November 11, 2025, at 8 PM, where readers will have the chance to engage with both the Arabic and English editions.
In The Media Producer, Arieda explores a world she knows intimately — the intersection of creativity, leadership, and human connection. The book positions the media producer as the architect of storytelling, the unseen hand that balances emotion with efficiency.
“This book came from years of watching how ideas either thrive or die in production rooms,” she says. “The producer isn’t just a project manager. They are the soul that connects vision to reality.”
Through real examples, reflective essays, and sharp insight, Arieda reframes production as a creative philosophy — one that demands empathy, clarity, and courage. She challenges readers to see media not only as a business, but as a force for education, communication, and collective growth.
The Arabic edition, “صانع المحتوى الإعلامي,” is more than a translation — it’s a reinvention. Written with the rhythm, humor, and cultural depth of the Arab creative voice, it aims to reach young producers, students, and professionals who are redefining the media industry in their own language.
“I wanted to speak directly to Arab creators,” Arieda explains. “We think differently. We tell stories differently. Our media deserves literature that sounds like us.”
The book introduces Arab readers to a new framework for understanding production — one that merges modern media theory with cultural authenticity and real-world practicality.
Arieda’s English edition, launched by Erteqaa Publishing & Distribution at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair earlier this year, earned attention for its fresh perspective on the human side of production. Its clear, conversational tone resonated with professionals across the Gulf’s creative industries.
With the Arabic edition, Bu Melha Publishing, an Emirati publishing house renowned for its role in elevating regional voices, extends that vision to the Arabic-speaking world. “Bu Melha understood the heart of this book,” Arieda says. “They believed, like I do, that storytelling and structure go hand in hand — and that knowledge in Arabic should never feel secondary.”
For Arieda, The Media Producer is more than a book — it’s a statement. It reflects her personal journey through years of producing, teaching, and leading media teams across the region.
Her approach is built on values: respect for culture, creative excellence, and the belief that media can drive meaningful change. “I’ve seen how a well-produced message can inspire entire communities,” she reflects. “That’s why I wanted to document what it really takes to produce — the emotional labor, the strategic thinking, the art of seeing the big picture.”
Her work at Medianation spans multiple disciplines — from brand storytelling and documentary production to media education and creative consultancy. She continues to champion cross-cultural collaboration and mentorship as core pillars of her work, ensuring that young Arab talents are equipped to shape the future of the industry.
The release of the Arabic edition is also the beginning of something larger. Under The Media Producer brand, Arieda plans to launch a series of workshops, creative labs, and talks focusing on media innovation, AI in production, and the emotional intelligence of leadership.
Her vision is to create a learning community where professionals can explore both the artistic and operational sides of production. “We need to humanize media again,” she says. “Technology can make things faster, but purpose makes them last.”
