In 2025, Saudi Arabia has decided that children will not be allowed to join the Hajj pilgrimage. This decision is made to keep children safe from the risks of crowded places during Hajj.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said this rule will protect children and prevent them from getting hurt. They have also introduced new safety measures, such as sharing important safety tips with pilgrims, using smart systems to manage the crowd, and making improvements to places like tents and walking paths.
The Hajj will be held from June 4-6, 2025, depending on when the moon is seen. People who have never gone on Hajj before will be given priority. Hajj is an important religious duty for Muslims who are able to do it. They must perform it at least once in their lifetime.
To prevent overcrowding, Saudi Arabia controls the number of pilgrims. Each country is given a specific number of visas. This year, Saudi Arabia will only issue single-entry visas for tourism, business, or family visits, and has stopped issuing multiple-entry visas. This change affects people from 14 countries, including India, Egypt, Nigeria, and others.
For people living in Saudi Arabia, the registration for Hajj has started through the Nusuk app. Pilgrims must update their health details, add companions, and ask for permission for a male guardian if needed. After completing the registration, they will be notified when they can book their Hajj packages.
