Georgia Strengthens GCC Partnerships to Accelerate Tourism and MICE Growth
GNTA unveils a strategic B2B campaign across UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait to deepen trade relations and foster sustainable tourism collaboration

GCC Region – November 5, 2025:
The Georgian National Tourism Administration (GNTA) has announced a renewed strategic focus on the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, unveiling a dedicated business-to-business (B2B) initiative designed to strengthen trade and investment ties in the tourism and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) sectors.

Building on the success of its recent consumer-focused campaigns, GNTA’s new strategy aims to position Georgia as a premier, high-value partner for GCC travel trade stakeholders, tour operators, and investors. The initiative underscores Georgia’s commitment to long-term collaboration and to co-creating innovative tourism experiences tailored to the evolving needs of Gulf travelers. “Our goal is to build a sustainable foundation for shared growth,” said Mrs. Maia Omiadze, Head of Administration at GNTA. “By forging deeper alliances with the GCC travel trade and investors, we aim to co-develop premium tourism products that highlight Georgia’s authenticity, diversity, and value. The country’s dynamic tourism ecosystem offers unparalleled opportunities for strategic partnerships.”

Capturing Growth in a Thriving GCC Travel Market

The GCC region represents one of the world’s most lucrative outbound travel markets, projected to more than double to USD 158.8 billion by 2034. Georgia has rapidly emerged as a preferred destination for Gulf travelers, recording triple-digit growth in visitor arrivals from key GCC countries in recent years.

This success complements the country’s broader tourism performance, which saw over 2.9 million international visitors in the first half of 2025 and a record USD 826 million in revenue in Q1, contributing 7.2% to Georgia’s GDP. These strong figures highlight the country’s rising global profile and the immense potential for high-value B2B partnerships.

Targeted B2B Roadshow Across UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait

To further this momentum, GNTA is rolling out a targeted B2B engagement program across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait throughout the final quarter of 2025.

The initiative will include destination webinars, in-market roadshows, and direct trade networking sessions connecting GCC tour operators, OTAs, MICE agencies, and investors with leading Georgian suppliers. Participants will gain access to:

  • In-depth market intelligence and destination training.

  • Exclusive partnership frameworks for co-marketing and joint promotions.

  • Opportunities to build bespoke tourism and MICE products for the GCC audience.

Georgia’s Competitive Advantage for GCC Partners

Georgia’s growing appeal to GCC travelers is supported by its strong value proposition for the trade community:

  • Strategic MICE Destination: Modern conference venues in Tbilisi and Batumi, complemented by heritage sites, vineyards, and mountain resorts for unique event experiences.

  • Outstanding Value: Offering 30–40% more value than comparable European destinations, Georgia combines luxury, quality, and affordability.

  • Ease of Access: Visa-free entry for GCC nationals, streamlined e-visas for residents, expanding air connectivity, and airport modernization initiatives make Georgia easily accessible.

  • Compact Diversity: From mountains and beaches to vibrant cityscapes, Georgia enables travelers to experience diverse landscapes and cultures in a single trip, ensuring year-round appeal.

Investment and Collaboration Opportunities

The Georgian government continues to prioritize tourism infrastructure, with a focus on elevating hospitality standards and diversifying experiences. Current investment opportunities include:

  • Development of premium and boutique accommodations with international hospitality brands.

  • Expansion of regional tourism hubs and resort destinations.

  • Growth of experience-driven tourism segments such as agro-tourism, eco-tourism, and adventure travel.

GNTA emphasizes that partnerships and co-creation are central to its vision for future growth. The administration invites GCC-based MICE organizers, travel agencies, and investors to engage with its upcoming programs and explore mutual opportunities.
