UAE Sends 100 Humanitarian Aid Convoys to Gaza Strip Under 'Operation Chivalrous Knight 3'
The UAE has reached a significant milestone in its humanitarian efforts, dispatching 100 aid convoys to the Gaza Strip since the launch of 'Operation Chivalrous Knight 3.' This initiative aims to alleviate the suffering of Palestinians affected by the war, with the first relief shipment arriving on November 24, 2023.
The aid convoys, comprising over 20,000 tonnes of supplies, were transported by approximately 1,000 trucks through the Rafah Border Crossing. The shipments included a wide array of essential items such as medical equipment, food parcels, Emirati dates, shelter tents, clothing, water, baby formula, and specialized parcels for children and women. Additionally, the convoys provided blankets, relief bags, ambulances, and water tanks and sewage systems, addressing various immediate needs of the affected population.

In response to the invasion of Rafah, the UAE sent four additional convoys carrying an estimated 320 tonnes of aid. These convoys focused on delivering shelter tents and food parcels to support the displaced and those facing dire conditions and shortages of basic necessities.
The health sector also received critical support through these efforts. More than 16 tonnes of medicines and medical supplies were included in the shipments, providing much-needed assistance to overwhelmed healthcare facilities in Gaza.
The UAE's commitment to humanitarian aid follows the principles laid out by its late founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. His vision of providing relief to affected and displaced people continues to guide the nation's efforts, setting a global example for humanitarian work.
