Dubai | February 3, 2026:

Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, awarded the Global Future Fit Seal to three outstanding international government projects during the World Governments Summit (WGS) 2026.

The award ceremony was held on the first day of the Summit, which is taking place from 3 to 5 February 2026.

The event was attended by Her Excellency Ohood Khalfan Al Roumi, UAE Minister of State for Government Development and the Future and Vice-Chair of the World Governments Summit, along with senior officials and global leaders participating in the Summit.

Three Projects Selected from 1,500+ Global Entries

In the second cycle of the Global Future Fit Seal, more than 1,500 projects were submitted from over 100 countries. After evaluation, three initiatives were selected for recognition:

  1. Diella, Minister of Artificial Intelligence – Republic of Albania

  2. Port of Busan – Republic of Korea

  3. National Precision Medicine Programme – Republic of Singapore

The awards were received by:

  • H.E. Delina Ibrahimaj, Minister of Economy and Innovation of Albania

  • H.E. Jeong Wondong, Vice President of the Management Division at Busan Port, Korea

  • H.E. Dr. Seow Shih Wee, Senior Director of Corporate Services at Precision Health Research Singapore (PRECISE)

Ohood Al Roumi: Seal Recognises Future-Ready Leadership

H.E. Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi said the Global Future Fit Seal highlights proactive leadership models that strengthen global readiness for future challenges.

She explained that the initiative reflects the UAE’s commitment to making future readiness a key governance approach. She also noted that it supports the World Governments Summit’s role as a global platform for sharing knowledge and developing future-focused solutions.

She added that the Seal recognises innovative government models that create real impact at sectoral, national and global levels. Projects are evaluated based on clear outcomes and data-driven results.

The Seal covers six key priority sectors:

  • The new economy

  • Advanced technology

  • Sustainability

  • Fourth Industrial Revolution sectors

  • Food and water security

  • Quality of life

Details of the Awarded Projects

1) Diella, AI Minister – Albania

Diella is described as the world’s first AI-powered minister, offering a new model for government operations.
The initiative supports decision-making in areas such as:

  • Tendering

  • Financial analysis

  • Regulatory review

It reflects a shift toward AI-enabled governance aimed at improving efficiency, transparency and competitiveness.

2) Busan Port – South Korea

Busan Port has been developed into a fully automated smart port using:

  • Artificial intelligence

  • Internet of Things (IoT) technologies

  • Big-data logistics systems

  • Blockchain-based documentation

A key part of the project is the Digital Twin Logistics platform, which has improved efficiency across maritime and land transport networks. The transformation has increased productivity, reduced costs and strengthened the port’s global competitiveness.

3) National Precision Medicine Programme – Singapore

Singapore’s programme combines:

  • Genomic data

  • Clinical data

  • Lifestyle data

  • Environmental data

The goal is to enable early detection, targeted treatments and preventive healthcare. The initiative has progressed through several phases, including large-scale genome sequencing across diverse population groups, helping position Singapore as a leader in precision health and data-driven medical research.

What is the Global Future Fit Seal?

The Future Fit Seal is a national symbol launched by the UAE’s Government Development and the Future Office. It is awarded to federal and local government projects that strengthen the UAE’s readiness for the future.

These projects are recognised for being proactive, practical and bold, with clear future visions. They focus on delivering measurable results by investing in future skills and using advanced technologies.

The Seal focuses on priority areas including:

  • The new economy

  • Advanced technology

  • Food and water security

  • Environmental sustainability

  • Future skills

  • Quality of life

The global edition of the Seal was launched during World Governments Summit 2025, where four international projects were recognised in the first cycle.
