Bollywood filmmaker Farah Khan recently appeared on Kajol and Twinkle Khanna’s talk show Two Much With Kajol and Twinkle. Their conversation quickly went viral after Kajol’s remark about Farah’s relevance in the industry sparked backlash, while Farah’s dignified response drew widespread praise.
In a clip circulating online, Kajol remarked, “And you are relevant till today, and at least you believe that you are relevant.” Farah calmly replied,
“Yeah, see I don’t like that word, Kajol, because I feel every person is relevant in some way or the other, even if you’re not working.”
When Kajol tried to clarify, Farah added,
“I always felt I’m relevant to my children, my husband, my mum. I think that’s a bad word somehow — it puts down people who are not working actively.”
Internet Applauds Farah’s Poise
Viewers flooded social media with support for Farah’s thoughtful comeback. One user wrote, “Farah Khan is the greenest flag of Bollywood.” Another commented, “Loved how Farah shut her down — they finally got a taste of their own medicine.”
Others criticized the hosts, saying, “Twinkle and Kajol think they’re being sassy, but they just come off as rude.” Fans called Farah’s response “graceful,” noting how she highlighted the importance of empathy and respect in conversation.
Farah and Kajol’s Recent Work
Farah recently choreographed “Gafoor”, a hit song from Aryan Khan’s directorial debut The Ba**ds of Bollywood*, featuring Tamannaah Bhatia. She’s also winning hearts through her celebrity cooking vlog series.
Kajol was last seen in Sarzameen and currently co-hosts Two Much With Kajol and Twinkle, which streams new episodes every Thursday on Prime Video.
