Today, August 10, the UAE will experience very hot weather, as the National Center of Meteorology has warned that some parts of the country could see temperatures reaching as high as 47 degrees Celsius. This kind of heat is very strong and can affect people’s daily activities.
Most areas inside the country will feel the heat most strongly, with temperatures climbing between 43°C and 47°C. The coastal cities and islands, which are closer to the sea, will be a bit cooler but still very warm, with temperatures ranging from 40°C to 44°C. In the mountain regions, the weather will be milder compared to other places, with highs between 32°C and 38°C.
Along with the heat, the weather will be mostly clear or partly cloudy. However, there is a chance that rainy clouds might form in some parts of the east and south of the UAE, bringing light rain in those areas. This is because of what weather experts call “convective clouds,” which can sometimes cause short rain showers during hot days.

The heat today will feel even stronger due to humidity, especially during the night and early Monday morning. Humidity is the amount of moisture in the air, and when it rises, it can make the weather feel hotter and cause mist or fog, particularly near the coast and in some inland places.
Winds will be light to moderate throughout the day but may become stronger at times, which can blow dust into the air. This dust may reduce visibility on roads, so people should be careful when driving. Sea conditions are expected to be calm, making it safe for marine activities in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
Authorities and weather experts remind everyone to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and avoid spending too much time outside during the hottest hours, usually in the afternoon. It is also important to protect yourself from the dust by staying indoors or wearing masks if necessary.
This heatwave is part of a seasonal weather pattern, but the intensity today is especially high, so people should take care to avoid heat exhaustion or related illnesses.
