Dubai Sports Council: 25 Exciting Weekend Sports Events Ahead

Dubai Sports Council Set to Host 25 Diverse Events This Weekend

Dubai, in collaboration with the Sports Council, is all set to host a weekend filled with 25 sports events, including seven international championships. Various locations across Dubai will witness the participation of individuals of different ages and nationalities, both from the UAE and overseas.

The prominent events include the Dubai Fitness Championship, Emirates Dubai Grand Prix Sailing Championship (Sail GP), Sir Winston Churchill Cup, International Boxing Championship, Gulf Classic Cars Championship, and Euro Dragon Boat Cup.

The Emirates Dubai Grand Prix Sailing Championship is scheduled for December 9th and 10th at Rashid Port, in partnership with B & O Marinas. This event marks the sixth stage of the international series, featuring teams from Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Britain, New Zealand, Spain, Switzerland, and the USA.

The Sir Winston Churchill Polo Cup is slated for December 9th at Al Habtoor Polo and Equestrian Club and Resort, with six participating teams, including Al Habtoor, Ankura Lamar, Ben Dre, AM Bangash, Abu Dhabi, and Mahra Wolves.

On December 9th, the International Boxing Championship will bring together elite boxers from around the world, competing in tough professional bouts under the International Boxing Federation. The event includes matchups like Emirati Sultan Al-Nuami vs. Russian Norgigit Dyushibayev, and many more.

The Gulf Classic Cars Championship, running from December 8th to 10th at Dubai Autodrome, will feature Historic Formula One races and classic Group C cars. Accompanying events include rare classic vehicle shows, the Emirati Heritage Village, children's activities, and more.

The Al-Habtoor International Women's Tennis Championship continues at the Tennis Complex in Habtoor Grand Hotel & Resort, with 88 promising female players competing for a $100,000 prize.

Other events during the weekend include the Euro Dragon Boat Cup, UAE Rowing Championship, Dubai International Fitness Championship, Labor Sports Tournament, Pirates’ Breath Holding Diving Cup, Legends Boxing Championship, Family Snow Run Festival, Karim Cycling Trip, Fast Cars Challenge, Dubai Local Rowing Boat Race, Dubai Police Electronic Sports Championship, Stand-up Paddleboarding Race, Beach Running Festival, Burjeel Running, and Dubai Open Tennis Academies Championship.
