Morning traffic congestion is building across key commuter routes between Dubai and Sharjah, with slow-moving vehicles reported on major highways and inner-city roads, according to Google Maps traffic data.
On Sheikh Zayed Road (E11), delays are being seen around Business Bay and Al Barsha as traffic volumes increase during peak morning hours.
Traffic on Al Khail Road (E44) is also moving slowly between Meydan and Ras Al Khor, where multiple accidents have contributed to longer travel times.
Congestion is extending to important connecting roads, including Hessa Street (D61) and Umm Suqeim Street (D63), where motorists are experiencing stop-and-go traffic across several stretches.
For drivers heading towards Sharjah, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311) is showing pockets of congestion near Dubai South, close to Al Maktoum International Airport, and around Dubai Production City. Traffic flow remains heavy through Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO) as well.
Meanwhile, Emirates Road (E611) is moving relatively smoothly overall, though slower traffic is reported between Athaib and Al Khawaneej in the direction of Dubai. Several accidents have also been reported along this route.
Authorities advise motorists to allow extra travel time, maintain safe distances, and consider alternative routes as traffic continues to rise during the morning rush across Dubai.
