Dubai welcomed the 8th International Conference on Education Quality (ICEQ) under the theme “AI Innovations: Future Foresight for Empowering Public Institutions and Enhancing Educational Quality.” The event is part of Dubai Artificial Intelligence Week and is organized by the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai.
The conference is being held from April 22 to April 24, 2025. The first day took place at the Grand Hyatt Dubai, while the second and third days are scheduled at the Directorate’s headquarters in Al Jafiliya.

This international event brings together experts, government officials, educators, and tech leaders to talk about how AI can help improve education and public services. It has become a well-known platform for discussing digital transformation and new ideas that can shape the future.

A Big Step in Travel: "Unlimited Smart Travel"
During the first day of the conference, H.E. Lt. General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri introduced a new service called “Unlimited Smart Travel”, available at the First and Business Class lounges at Dubai International Airport – Terminal 3.
This new service uses the latest AI technology for facial recognition and identity checks. It allows up to 10 travelers to pass through at once, making the airport experience faster and easier. It also helps reduce steps in the process, improves the speed of passport control, and raises satisfaction among both travelers and airport staff.
A Message from Lt. General Al Marri
In his opening speech, Lt. General Al Marri said that this conference is not just an event, but a part of a bigger goal. He shared:“We are not just organizing a conference; we are leading a new global vision. AI is no longer a future idea—it is something we need now. We are using it to improve education, serve humanity, and build a better country.”

Dr. Caroline A. Jones, Professor Emerita from the University of Warwick – UK and a key member of the conference’s top committee, praised the event.
