ChatGPT has a new tool that can make pictures in different art styles. Many people are using it to create pictures that look like Studio Ghibli movies. If you check X (which was called Twitter before), you will see many of these pictures. ChatGPT can make pictures in many styles, but the Ghibli-style pictures are getting the most attention.
People are making pictures of famous movie scenes, like the train scene from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) and the funny character Chota Pandit from Bhool Bhulaiyaa. These pictures look bright, clear, and full of detail. This new tool shows that now, anyone can make beautiful drawings without using a pen or paper. But some people in Hollywood are not happy about it. They say that AI tools like ChatGPT might break copyright rules because they use art made by real artists.

Many people want to try making their own Ghibli-style pictures. This tool is available for people who use ChatGPT on Free, Plus, Pro, and Team plans. OpenAI, the company that made ChatGPT, said that this new tool is now the main way to make images in ChatGPT. It is also used in OpenAI’s new video tool, Sora.
With this tool, users can change things in their pictures. They can pick the size, choose colors, and even make pictures with clear backgrounds. But because the tool makes very detailed pictures, it can take up to one minute to create them.
If you want to make a Ghibli-style picture, you need to open ChatGPT, click on the three dots in the chat box, and choose "Image." Then, type what you want the AI to draw. People have tried many different words to get the best pictures. Some of the most popular ones are: "Show me in Studio Ghibli style," "Make me look like a Ghibli character," and "Turn my photo into a Ghibli drawing with lots of details."
Some people using the free version of ChatGPT have problems making pictures. Sometimes the AI makes the picture, but other times it does not work. When this happens, the AI shows a message saying, "I can't make this picture because of content rules. If you want, I can change your request to fit the rules better."
It is not clear if only free users have this problem or if paid users also face it. OpenAI has said that free users can also use this tool, but there might be some limits. One reason could be that free users do not always use GPT-4o, the newest AI model. After using ChatGPT for some time, free users might be switched back to GPT-3.5, which cannot make detailed pictures. If you are able to make a Ghibli-style picture, it means that you are using GPT-4o.
